The Bothy, Philip Webb, 1864; extended 1989 Former bachelor gardeners' dwelling straddling the north-east garden entrance. Here is the first of Webb's many covered ways -an open porch with a lean-to roof on bracketed posts connecting the house to its potting shed. Webb's first commissioned religious building -a chapel designed in 1866 for Arisaig house -was never built.
