NH05SE 5 0627 5079

This intermediate station on the Inverness - Beauly - Kyle of Lochalsh line of the former Highland Rly was opened as Glencarron Platform on 1 August 1873 (by the Dingwall and Skye Rly.). It was reopened in August 1887, was renamed Glencarron Station on 10 September 1962, and closed to regular passenger traffic on 7 December 1964. The line itself remains in regular use by passenger traffic.
