St. Andrew's House, Alexander Ross, 1880. This picturesquely grouped former Episcopalian School and Schoolhouse (now two houses) is a fitting match for its church below, with Freestyle gothic detailing rendered in red bull-faced granite and contrasting sandstone dressings. House at east end has entrance in base of conical roofed round tower; school to west has roof sweeping down over arcaded entrance cloister (dormers a later addition).

Architecture Notes

Refence

Architect: Alexander Ross (IC April 27, 1876)

(Reference may not relate to this site since the School is dated 1880, but the architecture slip has only 'Fort William, Public School' as a site name, thus making it difficult to locate)
