A now demolished anti-aircraft battery which was situated on the SW side of Whistlefield.
Information from Mr Guy, August 1996
This World War II heavy anti-aircraft battery is situated on the W side of the railway halfway between Porticaple and Garelochhead. One holdfast and part of the concrete approach road are all that could be seen on the date of visit. The area gives the appearance of being used to dump spoil when the new road was constructed near by.
