Publication Account (2002)
The principle feature of this rubble-built mill of early to mid 19th-century date is the large suspended breast-shot wheel at the east gable, which has rim drive. To power the wheel, water was diverted from the Allt Eas to the west of the Manse, from where a lade can be traced for about 600m across the hillside. Although converted into a holiday bothy in 1980, it still retains some of its internal machinery.
