Archaeology Notes

ND39SW 51 c. 3430 9314

A possible barrage ballooon site lies on the W side of the minor coastal road which leads to Flotta Oil Terminal from Innan Neb, approximately 1km from the Coastal Batteries at Neb (ND39SW 41.00). All that was observed at the site was a circular green grassy patch. No mooring bolts were found in deep heather and rough grass.

The site is visible on vertical air photographs (RAF LEU/UK 12, 7067, 1949).

Visited by RCAHMS (DE) May 1996.
