This farmstead, which comprises a building and an enclosure, is situated on the SW of a conifer plantation. The building measures 9.2m from NNW to SSE by 4.4m transversely within roughly-dressed, mortared-granite walls, 0.55m thick and 2m high; it has a central entrance between two windows on the WSW and a large kitchen fireplace on the NNW gable. There is an outshot 1.7m wide on one end and an enclosed garden to the WSW. The building is depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxxi) and named 'Skybrae'.
