The request stop of Kingshouse Halt was a single unstaffed platform made entirely of wood at the expense of the adjacent Kingshouse Hotel in 1871.

This intermediate station on the Callander-Crianlarich-Oban route (the 'Oban line') of the former Caledonian Rly was opened (as Kingshouse Station) by the Callander and Oban Rly on 21 June 1871. It was renamed Kingshouse Platform on 1 July 1931 and closed to regular passenger traffic on 28 September 1965.
