Field Visit (25 August 2010 - 27 August 2010)
NH 39231 62665 On a wide river terrace, a modern field clearance cairn overlies very degraded rectilinear turf and drystone footings with a possible completely degraded outshot; the cairn, which contains broken concrete clumps probably from the old fence strainer posts which lay atop the pile, appears to have been built up over earlier clearance material consisting medium cobbles and medium-large stones.

Note
What may be a farmstead comprising one unroofed building attached to a rectilinear enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, sheet lxxv), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1989).
