The vessel, a concrete collier, was believed to have been in Scapa Flow during World War II.

5 October 1970. The wreck was sited at 042.5 degrees, 533.4 metres from Creag nah Tlaire trig point 136.

Report by HMS WOODLARK dated 26 August 1970.

The wreck is shown, lying with its keel on an orientation of 090/270 degrees with mast, in 57 52 38N, 006 41 56W on survey k6192/1.

1 October 1971. A photo was supplied. The wreck is 200 feet (61 metres) long, constructed of concrete. It was once used as a coal hulk and is now permanently grounded and used as a jetty and store.

The cited location falls within An Acarseid a' Tuath, a prominent inlet at the W end of Scalpay (Scalpaigh). This is presumably the inlet that is cited as North Harbour. It remains unclear how and when the vessel reached its present location.

The available imagery depicts a hulked vessel which is of considerable size, apparently of no great age, and without evident parallel in form or function. It remains intact and in good condition.
