The Clyde puffer, the LADY ISLE, was sunk approximately 1 mile SE of Scarnish [Scarinish].

The vessel's sinking position is given as 56 29 58N, 006 48 02W.

26 September 1969. The site was searched for by HMS HECLA's camp party. It was reported by local lobster catchers to lie close to the rock awash 115 degrees, 222 metres from Scarinish light at highwater. Nothing definate was found.

16 July 1991. The wreck lies in about 10 metres.
