Ground Survey (4 July 2010 - 26 July 2010)
NF 8130 5330 A walkover survey and watching brief were undertaken 4–26 July 2010 during gravel quarrying. The area was considered sensitive due to its proximity to a standing stone. The position of the standing stone (NF85SW 9) was
confirmed at NF 81430 53134. No archaeological deposits were recorded during the watching brief; however, a probable 19th-century turf and stone dyke was recorded along the site boundary.
