6 October 1975. The motor fishing vessel VALONIA has gone ashore 1 mile north of Kinlochbervie, south of Cape Wrath. The crew are safe. The vessel is filling with water and likely to be a total loss.

The location that is assigned to this record is essentially tentative. The unverified location that is cited by Whittaker places the loss at NC 1728 5799, just S of Eilean an Roin Beag.
