The German submarine U965 was depth charged by HM ships RUPERT and CONN six miles west of Point [of] Stoer.

Surveying Details

9 August 1984. The site was not found during category A sonar search. However it could possibly be the wreck at 58 12 26N, 005 32 41W.

The loss recorded as that of the U1021 (entered as NB92NW 8001 and NB94SW 8002) is alternatively to be identified as that of the U965 (for which, see NB87SW 8001). The U1021 has been identified as having been sunk off Padstow, Cornwall.
