The U1206 sank following a diving accident in which it grounded.

It could possibly have struck the wreck reported at 57 21 18N, 001 39 12W.

(Classified as Submarine: date of loss cited as 14 April 1945). U-1206: this vessel was lost in an accident 8.5 miles E of Slains Castle. 4 dead.
