3 April 1981. A wreck was reported at approximately 57 13 09N, 002 03 06W.

Report by J T Thomson.

19 September 1983. There is a report in 'Fishing News' dated 19 August 1983, which shows a photo of a vessel aground and complete at Black Dog. The article suggest that the wreck is becoming dangerous to children and adults, but no salvage is likely.

Hydrographic Office 1995.

The location of this loss may fall within the quasi-administrative area defined as Maritime - Aberdeenshire.

PASSAGE ABERDEEN FOR THE NORTH SEA, THISTLE PLATFORM. STRANDED AND LOST IN HEAVY WEATHER. ATTEMPTS TO REFLOAT WERE MADE BUT BECAME A CTL. (SIBI).
