Surveying Details

The wreck's position is given as 54 54 00N, 005 28 00W. A letter was sent to St Davids Coastguard regarding the position.

16 November 1982. Two wreck are shown in Decca red f 21.57 purple d 55.40. The Navigation Aid conversion gives 54 53 56N, 005 28 02W. The second wreck = Decca red f 22.50 purple d 54.50, North Brit 3, which the gives 54 53 34N, 005 28 21W.

The significance of this record remains unclear. It presumably refers to a net snag or echosounder contact.

No wreck is charted in this area, which lies in the middle of the North Channel to the W of Beaufort's Dyke. . The charted depth is about 200m; the seabed is apparently variable in type, but generally soft.
