North side of Salt Pans Bay, locally known as Galdenoch Bay, 3 miles from Killantringan Lighthouse. Wind south east force 8. Cause of wreck not known. 'Broached & unable to recover (thereafter) striking ledge of rocks on which now stranded. 1 lost, 8 saved'. No cargo.
