Not to be confused with Newport-on-Tay, Station Brae, East Station (NO 4245 2780), for which see NO42NW 51.

This intermediate station was opened (as Newport Station) on 13 May 1879. It was subsequently renamed West Newport and closed on 12 January 1880, before being re-opened as renamed Newport on Tay West on 20 June 1887. The station closed to regular passenger traffic on 5 May 1969.
