The church was designed by Reginald Fairlie 1938-9. It is harled under a slate roof and consists of a nave with an apse at the east end and a porch to the south. The porch rises into an octagonal tower with a slated spire. Above the entrance on the south front is a niche housing a stone sculpture of Our Lady by Hew Lorimer. A wing containing a vestry was later added to the east end of the south wall of the nave.
