NT45SE 71 49938 53619

This was the only intermediate station on the Lauder branch of the North British Rly. It was opened (by the Lauder Light Rly) on 2 July 1901, and closed to regular passenger traffic (with the line as a whole) on 12 September 1932.

Oxton Station is depicted on the OS 2nd Edition map (Berwickshire, sheet XIII, 1908). It has since been demolished.

Station probably opened 2/7/1901 (as Lauder Light Railway); closed to passengers 12/9/1932. NMRS mounted print: BW/3999 shows last train on Lauder branch of railway, Branch Line Society Special.
