This rubble built, 3 floor and attic, water powered mill of 1824 originally wove plaid, tartan shawls and blankets.This was a once common industry in this area.The water wheel pit is on the west side.

In the 1950s the mill made mohair travelling rugs and the looms were operated by gas. In about 1997, it was converted to office use. It was converted to dwellings.at some point after 2007.
