Fort, Faskally.
No trace could be found of the fortification of 'Dunmore' recorded by Mitchell (1923, 50), either on the mound locally known as 'The Fort', which stands at the junction of the old and new avenues just N of the N end of Loch Dunmore (OS Dun an Dionaidh) or on any of the knolls flanking this loch on the W and SW. The whole of Dunmore hill could not be searched.
