NS 3599 3559 An evaluation was undertaken on 21 November 2012 prior to the extension of the Olympic Rings Business Park. The evaluation consisted of the excavation of 610m of linear trenches, covering 8% of the area. The work revealed that sand quarrying, to a depth of c3m, had severely truncated any deposits in the eastern half of the site. The quarrying had adversely affected the drainage of the area and a sizeable bog had formed to the W. No significant archaeological features or finds were recorded.
