A boulder wall, measuring at least 100m from NE to SW, is situated at the mouth of the Gourock Burn, where it debouches into the intertidal zone. It is unclear how it could have functioned as a fish trap, as previously suggested, and, given its position, it is more likely to have been constructed to direct the flow of the burn on the intertidal zone.

Visited by RCAHMS (AGCH) 5 March 2014.
