B009 Laundry or Gardener's House.

Two-storey house in pinkish granite, with slate roof and upstand gables. Symmetrical elevation with central doorway, single windows each side and half-dormers with triangular pediments above. A single small window under the eaves-line above the door. The building is said originally to have been a single-storey building when used as a Laundry and added to considerably when converted to residential use.

Referred to as the laundry in earlier documents, but in recent times has been the Gardener’s Cottage in name and use. The field to the east is known as Laundry field still, although in the 1788 House Farm plan, a small field close to this location, on the north-east side of Fir Park, is titled Gardener's Croft.
