The 1st edition of the OS 6 -inch and 25-inch maps shows a rifle range to SW of drill hall.The site of the Marker butt and targets lie at the N end, with the range extending to 800 yards (see NC70SW 106.9). It is not shown on the 2nd edition of the OS maps, as it appears it has been replaced by another range (see NC70SW 144).
