This grass-grown barrow stands on a low rise 160m NW of Groundwater farmsteading. Roughly oval on plan due to the affects of ploughing, it measures about 8.3m from N to S by 7.3m transversely and about 0.7m in height. The barrow is depicted (as a ‘tumulus’) on the 1st edition of the OS 25-inch map (Orkney 1882, Sheet CVII.8; Name Book No.14, p.17).
