A78: (NF 7129 0426) immediately adjacent to NF70SW 85 is a prominent 2-3m high grassed-over mound with a few blocks of stone showing through the sides, 9 x 7.5m. This appears to be a similar monument to examples found on the Tanagaval peninsula and in the Borve valley, though with less stone visible. they have been interpreted as prehistoric, possibly Iron Age, houses and excavation of an example at NL69NW 57 on the Tanagaval peninsula produced about twenty small sherds of hand-made pottery thought to be Iron Age, and including one rim of Roman Iron Age date.

A prominent grassed over mound, 9 x 7.5m, and about 2m high.
There are traces of stone blocks on the periphery but no clear indication of a stone cairn. The shape and size of the mound
and its apparent lack of a stone cairn suggest this is a later prehistoric house, possibly with turf or peat superstructure on a stone foundation, as excavated in the Borve valley (B54).
The adjacent site 8, however, looks like a kerbed cairn and these often occur in pairs or larger groups.
