Single storey, irregular plan, partially ruined remains of corn mill built on falling ground. Rubble and ashlar masonty, ashlar dressings, slate roof. W ELEVATION: wheel chamber at centre (roof removed), ashlar courses at base with stone inscribed 'AD 1707 IM', spindle of wheel; slightly recessed bay at left with opening and projecting wall, later mono-pitch gable built on earlier projecting remains on higher ground at far left; advanced bay at right of wheel chamber with 2 irregular openings. S ELEVATION: gable at left with door, quatrefoil at attic, roof raised approximately 1 metre, advanced from main mill building which is roofless and reduced in height; reduced bay advanced at right with remains of circular building adjoining. E ELEVATION: most of main building removed, walls to S and E reduced in height, 2 adjoining mono-pitch roofed sheds at right.
The quatrefoil on the south gable may have been removed from Auchterhouse church when that building underwent extensive alterations in 1775. (Historic Environment Scotland List Entry)
