NB 12464 33269 (SMR 12181) Former single chamber blackhouse now foreshortened by shieling type structure at its S end utilizing material from the N end of the blackhouse. Other cellular structures at the S end appear to belong to the period of the blackhouse. At NB 12445 33287 lie the remains of stock enclosure footings. Medieval/modern. (S12). Note: in 1549, Bwya Beg is described as ‘inhabit and manurit gude for store (cattle) corn and fishing’. This structure must be the candidate for the main habitation site.
