This former yarn works is depicted and named on the Ordnance Survey, 1st edition 25-inch county map (Dumbarton, 1864, sheet XVIII.6 and XVIII.10) and appears to have become part of Milton Dye Works by 1899 (Ordnance Survey 2nd edition 6-inch map, Dumbarton, 1899, sheet XVIII).
