Striven power Station is a small station operating as part of a one-off development on a relatively small scale. The station contains a single turbine which was fully refurbished in c. 2002. Striven power station is an example of a small one-off development, originally built to provide power to an immediate local area, taking advantage of local topography. The station is designed to fit into the landscape, set on the edge of a small village the steeply pitched roof and large regular glazing pattern echo the vernacular forms of surrounding architectural and give the building an ecclesiastical appearance when viewed from a distance.
