Dalchonzie power station is a small power station utilising water from the tailrace of St. Fillans power station (see separate item) diverted via a small weir on the outflow from Loch Earn. The station contains a single 4MW turbine with the powerhouse set oversailing the tailrace. Dalchonzie is an example of a small station forming an integral component of a larger scheme. There is some additional interest from the tall narrow profile of the building and the multi-pitch roof. PL Payne,1988, 24; E Wood, 2002, 50.
