Formerly entered as Littleferry, Pier, Derelict Ship (RCAHMS NH89NW 19.01, within Golspie parish).

Beached forward section of wooden boat. At time of photographing structural features of hull and deck were well

preserved.

(No classification, cargo or date of loss specified). Violet: this vessel was abandoned on shore near Littleferry after the First World War and left to rot.

The equation of this vessel with the recorded abandonment of the Violet remains unverified, but is tentatively accepted.The available photograph (JR Hume, 1974) records the bow portion (only) of a heavily-timbered vessel. The decking and much of the planking have been lost.

The location assigned to this record remains unverified. Littleferry (North) Pier (NH89NW 19.00) is at NH 80572 95590.
