ARCHITECT: Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens 1928

The Burial Enclosure was recorded by the Threatened Buildings Survey as part of the survey of the Rosehaugh Estate which is undergoing restoration and regeneration

The circular enclosure lies to the north of the site of the demolished Rosehaugh House. The simple inscription on the large circular plaque reads 'JAMES DOUGLAS FLETCHER AUGUST 30 1927 AND LILIAN MAUD AUGUSTA STEPHEN OCTOBER 30 1955'. The enclosure is the most northerly surviving commission by Sir Edwin Lutyens in the Bristish Isles.
