This sluice-gate is situated at the junction of at least two water courses in moorland 235m NNW of the war memorial at Reservoir Wood. The metal gate, which was closed on the date of visit, is held in place by two concrete pillars. Although it is situated on the 'Big Cut' (NS06SE 430), the sluice is likely to be a later feature constructed as part of the water supply to Mount Stuart.

Visited by RCAHMS (AGCH) 26 October 2010.
