This sheepfold is situated on a slight terrace on the NW slope above Muckle Water and is recorded on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 2009). It is labeled as 'Old Sheepfold' on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Orkney 1882 lxxxix).
