Nothing survives in an area of what appears to be cleared ground of a light anti aircraft gun emplacement identified from RAF WW II oblique air photographs (S309, frames 6959 and 6959A, flown 2 October 1941). It is situated immediately S of a second light anti aircraft position (NT28SE 5.10) and about 100m N of A group 6-inch coastal battery (NT28SE 5. 03).

The gun site visible on the air photographs shows a circular low walled emplacement possibly of brick with a low rectangular flat roofed building on the W side.

Visited by RCAHMS (DE), 23 and 25 February 2009

About 46m SE from the approximate position of the AA emplacement noted above is what may be a single emplacement for a light anti aircraft gun. A low platform with a small square concrete base at each side, possibly the bases for ammunition lockers.

The feature is not noted on any of the plans of the Island.

Visited by RCAHMS (DE, AL), 4th and 5th March 2009
