No evidence could be seen of Gladston House in an area now taken by a car park immediately S of the present main administration building for the Royal Ordnance Factory (NS47SW 149.01).

The building is depicted as roofed on the OS 6-inch map (Renfrewshire, 1863, sheet vii) and the Object Name Book of the Ordnance Survey (ONB) describes the house as ' A neat dwelling with garden attached. The propert of Matthew Rodger Esq. (Name Book 1857).
