The college is built on the site of Brahan House. A large Arts and Crafts house built for Rufus Pullar of The North British Dye Works, Perth. It was designed by F W Bedford and S D Kitson Architects of Leeds and completed by 1898 see the photograph of the 1898 dated sundial with initials of Rufus Pullar and his wife. It was demolished in 1970. The RCAHMS recorded the building in 1969 when it was derelict including the elaborately carved inglenook in the billiard room. A view of the house and a ground floor plan were illustrated in Academy Architecture 1899 vol I p.21 & 142 but the house was called Braham.
