Situated on the S side of the airfield and S of the main runway is a 'Gaydon' aircraft hangar and the United States 'Seals' Training building and parachute drying tower.

The main building is almost without windows and is totally enclosed within a metala nd concrete framework. The building is sub divided internally to include offices, debriefing areas, an internal firing range and garage facilities. The parachute drying tower is built of the same materials and forms a separate building and this also contains a large hall to take in large vehicles directly from incoming transport aircraft.

This part of the airfield also includes elements of the former World War II airfield bomb store.
