NT17SW 36.07 1115 7354

Collection item WL890/8 was previously linked to NT17SW 38, which is a different sundial, of the lectern type (see NT17SW 38). (AC 7 March 2004).

The sundial in the photograph WL 890/8 was located at approximately NT1115 7354 at the time of the photograph. Although current and historic OS maps depict two sundials in the walled garden, there is no desk-based evidence available to prove that this sundial was one of those. The sundial to the south of the walled garden is the lectern sundial mentioned above (NT17SW 38).

(Anne Cassells, 2 July 2009).
