Rowanlea, which once formed part of the township of Feabuie, is no longer a working farm; the house is still inhabited and the outbuildings remain in use therefore it was not recorded on the date of visit. Nothing is now visible in a pasture field of the limekiln (NJ 0704 2729) that stood immediately ENE of the steading and is depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire 1874, sheet XXXIII; 1905, sheet XXXIII.NW).

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) 28 September 2006.
