Architect: Major Thomas Martin Cappon 1897.
Annotated 'Drill Hall' on the 2nd and Revision Editions of the OS 25-inch map (Forfarshire, 1904 and 1924).
The front elevation has a sculpture of the Black Watch badge with Lion and Unicorn, now covered by a sign over the central porch.
The building was in commercial use (1976).
