A group of eleven buildings, ten of which are arranged around two enclosures, appears on the 1797 plan of the estate of Leith Hall. It is of interest that the modern farm of Laighmuir (NJ52NE 101), lies approximately 700 - 800 metres to the south. Information from Anne Cassells, 20 September 2007.
