N57 27.9 W4 14.6

Possibly on map sheet NH64SW.

(Classified as wooden smack, with cargo of slates: date of loss cited as 15 April 1907). Zoe: this vessel stranded at Tomnahurich, Caledonian Canal. Capt. Cumming.

Registration: Inverness. Built 1883. 21 tons [unspecified].

(Location of loss cited as N56 51.50 W5 4.00).

I G Whittaker 1998.

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. The Tomnahurich Swing Bridge (NH64SE 53.01) crosses the Caledonian canal at NH 6550 4384.

It remains unclear whether or not this vessel was successefully recovered. No remains were presumably left in this confined location.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 20 March 2008.
