A barrage balloon mooring site has been identified from a RAF WW II oblique aerial photograph (NLA 66, 0015, flown 2 July 1943), situated between the Wharf sheds on Camperdown West Wharf (now The Queen Elizabeth Wharf) and the East Graving Dock (NO43SW 122).

The photograph shows one barrage balloon moored down on the site.
