Description:

The Star Inn is a large late Georgian former hotel building, 4-storey high and 5 windows wide with a 3-storey western outshot 1 window wide. Main block has Roman Doric pilastered doorpiece and high in the facade between 2nd and 3rd floor windows is a painted panel with Black Watch badge.

Internally the entrance hall has a pilastered screen with a semi eliptical fanlight and a lozenge plan cantilevered stair of

impressive height.

Formerly Old Star Hotel founded later 18th century. Poor repair
