Leading Light (fixed red) [at NS c. 30590 38272]

OS (GIS) AIB, July 2006.

(Irvine 1 and 2: location cited as NS 305 382). On quay wall near harbour entrance: late 20th century. Pair of leading lights on light tapering steel lattice tripods carrying electric units; eastern light much taller than W.

J R Hume 1997.

The precise locations of these structures remain unclear. The 'Leading Light' annotation that is noted on the current edition of the OS (GIS) AIB is presumably one of those cited by Hume, but the annotation does not apparently refer to any defined structure.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 12 July 2006.
